This guide provides an overview for new users and details the Admin Toolbar on AlumniMagnet.

Starting Out

  • We highly recommend utilizing Firefox as your browser when working on the website.
    • We understand that several firms and offices require exclusive use of a different browser.
    • Although it seems to work in Chrome and Safari, the editing software may behave unexpectedly.
  • You have administrative privileges for everything you need.
  • If there is something you do not have the ability for, contact staff via the Support Tracker.
    • Ex: creating new email groups, adding a new administrator etc.

Admin Toolbar

  • The blue icon on the main navigation is your Administrative menu.
  • Manage Articles – Manage and edit existing articles, which include your board members page, announcements, and event posts.
  • Manage Files & Images – Allows you to upload files and images you can include on articles.
  • Manage Newsletter – Create, manage, and edit newsletters for email blasts.
  • Manage Events – Manage existing events.
    • This function is mainly used for RSVPs and ticketing.
  • Manage Store – This is where tickets are set up for events.
    • This function requires an additional on-demand training (25 minutes) from our office. Click here to view recording.
    • If you plan to monetize tickets, please submit a ticket on the Support Tracker as we will likely need to set up a Stripe account for your Club or SIG.
